My people, Mary & Tom have disrupted the house and decorated it with fake trees on which I am not allowed to wee.  Click on the link at the bottom of the page to read more

Meiyah
The story of how Meiyah came to live with us is sad and happy at the same time. Amber, the old Standard Poodle that was my mentor and best friend, when I first came to live with Tom and Mary had died. We were all sad and I was very lonely.  Mary wanted to get another Pembroke Welsh Corgi, and Tom did not want to get another puppy, but instead wanted to get a rescued dog.  So, Mary signed up as a candidate to adopt a rescue Corgi through the local Corgi club.

She was notified by email that there was a younger female that had been rescued from a dog pound just hours before she was scheduled to be put to sleep. She fit our family perfectly; Meiyah was friendly with other dogs, good with cats, kids, and strangers. Mary filled out the adoption papers, sent her references, and was then notified to come see the dog. We fell in love and Meiyah came home. We will never know how she had ended up in a dog pound, but it was obvious by how gentle and well behaved she was that someone had loved her very much. Meiyah and I have a lot of fun together. And she encourages me by barking while I chase the ducks and geese.

So if you are thinking of getting a dog, and best of all, a Corgi, check with the local breed clubs, there may be a special rescue dog just waiting for you.

"
I set a quick pace balanced with time for getting "pets" from the neighbors, as well as for reading the local pMail."
